Food Ventures in Malabon by Melissa Matienzo

The so called “Venice of the Philippines” because it gets flooded due to heavy rains and as they say even with the slightest drizzle. Where flood is just a normal thing for any Malabon folk is the city where I actually grew up. But don’t underestimate this city because it is known for a lot of flavorful and gastronomic dishes. If you are in the mood for a food trip, be sure to check out these restaurants where you can easily find Malabon’s famous delicacies:

1.The famous Pancit Malabon, the flavorful dish which originated in the city is similar to the dish, pancit palabok but the difference is that Pancit Malabon is composed of rice thick noodles and its seafood toppings.

  • Nanay’s Pancit Malabon
  • Governor Pascual Avenue cor. Sta. Ana Street
  • 2810449

2. Sapin - Sapin

Kakanin or as famously called in Malabon as Sapin – Sapin because of the different colors which go after its flavor and these are: ube, kamoteng kahoy, kutsinta, mais and biko.

  • Dolor’s Kakanin
  • Address: 13 Escanilla St., Concepcion, Malabon City
  • Telephone No.: 281-2739

3. Crispy Pata

The famous Judy Ann’s Crispy pata because of its really unique flavorful taste, a must served dish to my high school and college friends.
